Love bug

Love Bug

You keep my heart tethered like a bug on a sting
Give me enough rope to hang myself as you pull off each wing
Not letting me be dear to you
Not wanting me to land near to you
But you keep me around because I make your heart sing
Your words are like weapons and I have felt their full sting
My love is a paralytic that keeps me from moving
I've had pieces torn away by you
When you thought that I'd ran away from you
And when you're done playing, I fear the pain it will bring
I'll keep coming back for more...I haven't learned a thing
I'll just wait by the phone even though it won't ring...
