Love in Blood

by Samuel Lynn-Evans
(London)

I am your carbon monoxide
In this thick blood love lake
You are my haemoglobin.

As many Oxygen try to have their way
I stride
Binding to your Fe+ Ion
(Because I have 200 times the binding power)

Together we become one
Together we are inseparable
We are fated
And destined
To become carboxihaemoglobin
