by Parrish Lantern
(Kent, United Kingdom)
Mable had it all worked out
the line between truth & fiction
for all her life, there'd been no doubt
Certain, nothing missing
But truth it has so many shades
So many shards & pieces, but
Mable's mind didn't work that way
Saw surface, not the creases
Mable had it all worked out
the path perfect straight
No room for error, no room for doubt
no room to deviate
Her life it went from A to B
Controlled, just like she said
every second planned of her journey
And now Mable is dead
Now she stands at heaven's gate
So certain of admittance, but
For a life not lived, she's turned away
A truth far greater than its fiction.
