Mary

by Lucy
(Portishead, Somerset, England)

Mary you were an angel sent from heaven,
but now you travel the seas in Devon.
You treated everyone with respect,
you were truly wonderful.
You could not break anyone’s heart,
and you found it hard to part.
Even though I only knew you from school,
we smiled at each other from a distance.
You were open minded,
but only spoke sweet words.
We were all so very sad when you passed away,
because we would not see you every day.
You used to hide your emotions,
so people didn’t get hurt.
When you found out that you had bone cancer,
we honestly thought, was there going to be an answer.
Your family will miss you a lot,
and you family will have us to help them.
So you don’t need to worry.
Mary good luck up there, and remember we will always care.
