Missing You

by Jessica
(Philippines)

Played with fire and I got burned,
Nothing left but a lesson learned
Always knew that this time would come
Sometimes I wish that I felt numb

I've gone and pushed you far away
Nothing I do will make you stay
We don't talk and it hurts a lot
I guess I'm someone you forgot

Though you just don't feel the same way
To me, it's perfectly okay
This does not change the way I feel
Something so strong and oh so real

How much more of this can I take?
Nothing left but a smile so fake
I've gone crazy with you in mind
Sanity's what I've yet to find

I wish you'd talk to me again
Even if it's just as a friend
I'm sorry; hope you forgive me
Can't accept we're not meant to be
