My child, know this

I am trying to find a copy of a poem I heard at a funeral a few years ago. It was from mother to child , one of the lines read "my child, know this" and went on to say how she had tried her best even with all her "shortcomings" this is all I can remember except how it resonated with me, hoping u can help.
