My Darkness

Darkness surrounds me
It feels like there is no escape
A tight grip around my chest
My legs heavy like lead
My heart slow and weak
My breathing quite difficult
All the pain I feel

Darkness closing in
The clouds above ugly and dark
There ready to pour down
I gasp for air

Darkness starting to take my life
OH! The Pain Inside
Tears are in my eyes
How much more can I endure
My face is stark white
My skin cold
My heart is still trying, trying to beat

Then No More
Darkness has won.
