My Husband

by Cheryl Durazo
(Canutillo Texas)

You are the grass under my feet.
The blood in my veins.
You are what makes my heart beat.

My one True Love.
I will always Love you.
Just like the blue in the sky above.
The minute we met I knew.

So raise your hands and shout.
You still get me giddy.
Even though sometimes I pout.
I wish I'd met you sooner, that's such a pity.

Sometimes we might fuss.
Even though we Love each other.
I even make you cuss.
But I don't go home to Mother.

Don't ever forget me.
Cause I will not forget you.
Can't you see.
My Love for you is true.
