MY INNER SELF

MY INNER SELF

Deep within my inner self you see
There is a child who wants free
Twists and turns with many doors
Each leads to different floors.

Hidden away in my mind to keep
I only let them out when I sleep
With dreams that aren’t so clear
Bringing out reality without fear.

With cleaver thoughts now hidden
A time to address the forbidden
My future still not clear or decided
In time a space for me provided.

Life’s journey can be long and hard
Answers may not be on a written card
Taking one small step at a time
Let the bells toll listen as they chime.

My inner self closed like a shut book
There to be found as I take a look
For within me I can only see
The truth of what should be.
