My Mask

by Sarah
(Georgia, USA)

My mask is happiness,
everyone sees
but behind this mask
there is a different me.

On the outside,
I'm the same as before.
But on the inside,
no one ever sees.

When they said it will be okay,
not a drop of a sunshine ray.
Just wanted to be the same,
but too much has changed.

Does anyone hear my silent cry?
Does anyone know what's inside?
Does anyone hear
my screaming cry.

the mistake
by: Sarah

but on this poem i made a huge mistake! i thought it was another poem i did about a silent cry, so the last part was meant for a different poem, and i lost that poem, and when i realized my mistake i written a different last part.. im a blond but my hair don't know it yet :)

Wearing a mask is what most people do.
Good job.
