My Rose

by Armands Briedis
(Riga, Latvia)

This loneliness and hopelessness
Will never cease to search the ends of time.
Now flood the skies with stars of hope
To guide me when it all seems lost

In a sea of masks, in a sea of fear
In this forgotten place your voice above the skies
In this place of fools I'm stepping further down
If you can feel me, reach me out and call me home

Once I'll have the rarest rose
That never refuses to bloom.
It hears the rhythm of this trembling heart
Once it's found, it's yours forever
