My Secret Indulgence

by Sabrina Michelle
(Graceville, Florida)

Piercing chocolatey smooth brown eyes
melt my soul into warmth.
His electrifying embraces send chills
that trickle down my spine.
Just the sight of him makes
my heart skip a beat
with the constant pitter patter of distraction
His soothing smile shines
brighter than the shooting stars
in the midnight sky.
The protective echo of his voice
makes my heart crumble.
Delicate words that sing a
melody of serenity
and affection penetrates the air
He makes my heart smile,
and laugh with the joy of
an amused toddler.
He is the one.
