NO ONE TO HOLD

by Martins Faleru
(Istanbul, Turkey)

No one to hold
I go to bed with lots of thoughts
I soak my bed with tears,
my eyes cannot feel the night.
Sleep refuses to embrace my eyes,
throat is dry due to soliloquizing.
Lips are dried
no one to get them wet,
hands are dried
no one to make them moist.
Hope all day,
hope doesn't seem to come,
I turn on my bed, no one to hold,
no one to embrace my night.
No one to lean on,
day comes and goes,
night comes and goes.
No one to share with,
hope seems bleek
without a word to utter.
Tears are dropping from my eyes
like rain dropping on a roof.
Will the tears stop without anyone to ease?
