Notice Me

by Amy
(West Sussex)

Notice me that's all I ask
see my figure standing there
I am not invisible I am not void
Your twisted logic is deceiving
passed over for each task

Notice me take my hand
praise my work and see my chores
see the real me standing there
that I am the loyal one you long to find
don't just leave me to gather dust and stand

Notice me I am asking you this last
my eyes bore into yours
as you turn your head away from me
I know you see me I know you do
one day you will see how good you
had it in the past
