Ode to St. Michael

by DAMO!
(Dublin)

It’s Tuesday again and the shopping centre is busy
There’s so many women it’s making me dizzy
And so much noise that seems never ending
I can’t believe the money they’re spending

All over the shops, they are spending tons
The tills are rattling like machine guns
And thousands of kids both small and big
Run mad round the shops and get the odd dig

The main shopping’s done, only one thing to do
As they all head off to buy themselves something new.
Blouses or body tops, mini-skirts or shoes
There’s so much on offer it’s hard to choose.

Now everything’s done it’s time for a break
They all head off for some coffee and cake
Kick off their shoes like they haven’t a care
Though the kids are running amok everywhere

Over the coffee they decide where to meet
When they head out for their monthly treat
One thing's for sure the night won’t be dull
And they promise it’s going to be wonderful

For this is their night to have some fun
That’s what life’s for when all’s said and done
Maybe give some man the time of his life
So long as he’s not looking for a new wife.

These ladies will tell you, they will be blunt
That all this is down to their time of the month
But though you may blush or even find it funny
It’s only once a month they get the Mickey Money!!
