Ode to the Day

by Jeff Lamphear
(Queensbury, N.Y. USA)

Warm, soft and subtle day,
gentle breeze brushing your face.
You walk aimlessly, no direction,
no destination planned, enjoying the day.
As you walk you observe nature in its purist form,
as you stand and experience everything you can see.
Can it be, ahhh a soft warm plume of air hits your face.
And you close your eyes and time just stands still,
you can hear what you never heard before,
see what you have not seen before, via your ears.
Ode to the day. I wish it didn’t have to go away.
