Of Ruins And A Red Nightfall

by Nodin Nyx
(Madawaska, Maine)

And as I lay breathing shallow
Faith whispers supremecy
But I'm bleeding out into the soil
These are truly my last moments of time
My quivering body in desperation
Begging for a glint of light
But my thoughts take over
For nothing exists outside normality
So as my last drops of blood flow out
My eyes grow weary
And my irises' color fades
My sickness is washed away
Velvet-lined casket filled with grieving doubts
Then they'll be... ebony-dressed for sunset
