On the Genius of Writers

I am told
That the genius
of Poe
Came from his madness
That
And a drug induced haze.
How odd
Or so it seems to me
That the greatest writers
Are required
To have
Some kind
Of mental flaw.
If that is, indeed,
The case
Then I foresee
You
To one day be
Remembered
By the masses.
