ONE MORE DRAG

by GEORGE CAMPOS
(ONTARIO, CA. - USA)

Began with a pack of smokes
Didn't mind the jokes
Of them nagging folks
Who said, bet he croaks.

My cough got worse and worse
Called a doctor and a nurse
They put me on oxygen
And began to wonder when,,,

Can't give up these stogies
They give me the "easies."
Can't wait for a puff or two
It's what I LOVE to do.

Know I should quit
Drop this awful habit
I know smoking doesn't pay
But shucks, gonna die anyway!!
