PERSONA DIGNIFIED

PERSONA DIGNIFIED

Yet malice creates the burning flame
and each called by their given name.
Though mortal thoughts they defect
laying claim only they are correct.

Bound in chains of heavy grief
left with hollow pain, no relief.
Amongst the many without dignity
precious peace of quiet serenity.

The sound of the tambourine of pity
mark well the aged one in the city.
A persona used to be justified.
A posture that’s now dignified.
