Red

by Mahi
(Canada)

Red remembers a long time ago
when it
sizzled in the company
of the devils.

Red wishes, it could be
less hurtful and destructive.

Red dreams of romance
and spreads love all over
the world.

Red forgets about
all wars and bloodshed in
the history of men and women.

Red tells us
to be kind to one another.

kindness, yes, but maybe remember the struggles
by: Kris

Mahi,
This simple poem is really wonderful. It was perfect the way you kept expanding the associations toward a new vision of the world.
Do you really think Red would do better to remember rather than forget all the bloodshed she bore witness to in history? Yes, the impulse is to forget what is awful, terrible, and horrid. Yet, can we afford to forget? Memory must pay a bitter price to keep what we do not desire from pouring over us again. However, this is my thought, and you are the poet who must keep your colorful poem clear of murky pigments.
I like the poem very much.
Keep following these marvelous images.
Yours,
Kris
