Reflection

by Twisted Dreamer
(Singapore)

I looked in, with shattered breaths and red-rimmed gaze,
My soul reflected on the broken,
The stops, pulls, brakes, plays made me dazed,
Was everything so clear, so forsaken before?

Drip went my cursed blood,
Cursed for abandoning my love,
I know he will come back, I know he will,
But I can't wait any longer nor move any longer,
Was everything so depressing, ever before?

The denied, lied and shattered mirror lay still, letting me be chained to its gaze,
To seek my soul, to look at my self,
Why, isn't that an ugly one?

I know I'm falling, falling deep down,
Looking at my reflection,
Broken by the desperation,
Of trying to prove,
That it's just a reflection.

Just a Reflection.
