Seasons

by Rylee Crowe
(Hagerstown, Indiana )

As the weather turned cold,
You did too.
You changed along with the seasons.
I still hope though
That maybe,
Just maybe,
Your heart will warm as it does in summer,
And you will again be
The person I fell so madly in love with.
Your eyes will become clear and bright
Like the skies in early June,
You will realize what you lost.
You lost the days in between winter and summer.
You lost the beautiful, cool, but fine, spring days.
You lost me.
You lost me, in the blizzard you became.
