She sat alone

by Victoria E. Miera
(Aurora, Co)

She sat alone on a bus, with only her dreams to keep her company. She stared out a window as cars passed her by, She tried to forget the pain within her soul.

Rain drops fell, like the tears she tried to hide. One by one they fell softly against the window pane, memories running through her mind like the sands of an hour glass.

She tried in vain to pass the time, by humming a song to sooth her soul, alone on a bus with no one to trust, where would she go?
Only God knew the answer to that. Rain drops fell softly against the window pane.

Frame by frame of her life past before her eyes, like sands of an hour glass slipping through one by one, a babies cry brought her back to where she was, alone on a bus, with only her dreams for company.

She looked down in her hands, a flower she clutched, a memory of where she had been, fresh in her mind, she tried to forget the pain within her soul. The smell of dirt still, fresh in her mind. As a tear fell softly, like the rain drops on the window pane.

One last look a sad goodbye, she turned and walked away, where was she to go? What would she do? Only God knew the answers to help ease her pain.

The day God called you home was the day she lost her way, now here she was alone on a bus with just her memories for company, and the sweet sound of rain drops as they fell softly against the window pane.......
