Shockwave

by Amanda Blanchard
(North Carolina)

dreams of your touch
enter my brain like a shockwave
that shudders me;
so fast it's a bolt
shooting straight to my amusements –
the need to play throbs
deep within my belly –
powerful surges overwhelm me
when I imagine you there,
pretending I have you –
I close my eyes as electricity
pulsates through my body
leaving me all twitchy and shocked –
O, how I cannot wait
to have you in my arms again !
