skiing

by hamish
(austrailia )

As I’m carried up the slope I hope and hope and hope and hope,
That the lift I’m on, is up there some,
Time soon, not near noon,
I raise the safety bar and something is beating hard,
My heart is booming for the jump is looming
I speed down the slope faster and faster for soon I’m about to be the master.
I pull a backie and I am happy
I land on my feet and scrape down the sheet,
Of ice below me, I see my life before me,
Destined to ski
