Street lamp

by Victoria E. Miera
(Aurora. Co)

The street lamp cast shadows as she stood, gazing up at the moon. As midnight stars danced across the sky. She closed her eye's so she could dream.A gentle breeze kissed the sea.

A lovers embrace she longed for, as day's of yesteryear, went through her mind. The sweet taste of a lover's kiss, to be no more.
The street light glowing in her hair. As midnight stars danced across the sky, a gentle breeze kissed the sea.

She closed her eye's so she could dream,to taste the kiss that would be no more. A tear upon her cheek, the only sound that could be heard, was the beat of her heart echoing in the wind, as it danced across the sea.

The taste of their last kiss, still lingered upon her lips, his goodbyes still ringing in her ears, as midnight stars danced across the sky. She stood gazing up at the moon, the taste of tears salty as the sea. She longed for his embrace to hold him close one last time.

His ship was gone as out to sea he did go, when he would return she did not know, The sound of her heart breaking in two, was the only sound to be heard, as it echoed in the wind.

The street lamp cast shadows as she stood, gazing up at the moon. Midnight stars danced across the sky. She closed her eye's so she could dream. A gentle breeze kissed the sea.

A lovers embrace she longed for, as day's of yesteryear, went through her mind. The sweet taste of a lovers kiss, to be no more. The street light glowing in her hair. As midnight stars danced across the sky, a gentle breeze kissed the sea........
