Sweet Isolation

by shah wharton

My heart

At once hermetically sealed

Your words dealt the lethal blow

For solace I turned

To the inane: Gyro-emotion

Of my ipod

Where falderal songs were

Sung -

Till the orange globe

Crumpled behind trees

Like plain flour -

Powerless to rise

Only

Sleeplessness for company

Till the hoar frost

Peppered the corpsed

Vegetation of our lawn

And a red-faced

Neighbours windscreen.

When hollow-eyed

I walked the walk

To passers by

I talked the talk

Till a happy death

Of day two

When contrary

Hosanna plays in

My heart

To sweet isolation

And my beautiful sorrow.
