That Sick Feeling

Thoughts flood my mind
as the River we sailed on
The moon reflecting in our faces
I feel faint and pale

The boat begins to sink
as I watch you drift off
I try to reach out
I clench my heart

The nightmare is here
darkness grabs tight
Scratching at my skin
That ailing pain hits my stomach

That memory is forever with me
disbelief and sorrow
But I begin to see sunlight
I shake that sick feeling
