The Boxes I Packed Away

by Daniella Auer
(Nashville,TN, USA)

I only wish to forget
leave our house of pain
where Peace is so hard to remember
your forever knife sent through my body
I will not stop believing
there is no way to stop us
my insane brain
can not fit behind eyes
drawn away from empty rooms I cannot see
my Heart calls out to you
do not ask me how
tortured Legs that can run
with your Apathy, did not fade away
my hand touches to ask you
would you care?
care if you would miss those belongings
I packed away, in our boxes of tears
