The Condition

by John Smallshaw
(London, England)

I see the world in colours that assail my senses every day
Colours that drag me down and down and are leading me to say.
Why can't the World be black and white with just a little touch of grey.
But complaining doesn't pay,if it did the world would not be raining in my eyes with colours that do not surprise or satisfy but irritate.
If I could only see some scenes in monochrome and not in blues or reds or pinks or greens..if it can only happen in my dreams..
Then I shall go to sleep.
