The Darkness Always Overcomes

No matter what I do,
no matter what I say,
the little bit of light I see,
always seems to fade away.
With all of the corpses,
and gray fog around me
there is nothing I can find
to ever bring me to peace.
Everything I had is gone,
everything I thought was wrong,
because the light I once saw,
was taken over by the darkness which is now in me,
and now that it has taken over,
there is no more light to see.
