The Delray Sunset

by Teresa Frazee
(Fl, USA)

The Delray sunset breaks through the horizon
Revealing the secret entrance of time
Satisfied with its own magnificence
Reigning high above all things claimed divine

Golden light shimmers upon the throne of grace
As the soft summer clouds float overhead
There prismatic mysteries tend to linger
Before vanishing in the vast seabed

Trees try to hold their eloquent postures
But gently sway in an opalescent breeze
The wild and the tame together harmonize
In unity within nature’s boundaries
