THE DRAGON SLAYER

by Dr. Rick McGrath, Ph.D.
(Modesto, CA)

A story of medieval times and land
A dragon slayer, sword in hand
Beyond the smile she already knows
The dragon is the worst of her foes.

With sword so sharp with the truth
The dragon spews fire by the tooth
Our mighty dragon shows no fear
With the slayer no regret not one tear.

Fiery breath of acid words said
The dragon’s blood, blood of red
Mortally wounded but not yet gone
The dragon slayer sees a new dawn

The dragon’s heart is left to rot
A love gone bad and should be not
With this tale her story ends
In death another one begins.
