The Ending

by Pauline Harley
(Dublin Ireland)

The ending
Your final walk before ascending
The winding path through soft white clouds
The angels calling your name out loud
The fear of the unknowing
As to where one is going
Still trying to comprehend
One’s life has come to an end
Does paradise wait?
Beyond the big white gate
Who’ll be there to meet you?
In your dream like state
They open wide you enter inside
Your fears and doubts all slowly subside
Since you’ve arrived your souls revived
Life’s true meaning is now so clear
One’s truly alive no need for fear
Welcome here to your new home
A place where angels and beautiful souls can roam...
