The Night & its Wife

by ZuZu Gold
(Downtown Los Angeles, CA)

The blue sky clothed in black.
Stretch to test your beam of sight.
The moon of white,
Lays in delight;
For, thirst takes rest, warmth takes breast.

Oh how the night quiets the mill.
Fill me up with night wife.
For day has dusk & pray is blind & beat.
Till dawn peeks. The heavenly Stars shall watch over me.
