The One I Yearn For

by Anonymous
(Somewhere on Earth)

Thoughts so deep I need a shovel

to bore my way out –

The silence I hear outside my head

makes me want to shout.

The buzzing sound of missing you so,

leaves me wondering where to go.

You’re mind, body, and soul I seek

is buried under your two front feet.

Alive and well was the song you sang,

now I see nothing but pouring rain,

Out from your eyes to the paved cement

is the drop that would kill three innocent men.

You love me no longer, yes it's true

but you don't have to be so seriously rude.

My arms will be waiting for the day you return,

to be mine once again, the one I yearn.
