The Proposal

by Aleta Gantt
(Yakima, WA)

Come and Kiss the freckles
That dust my shoulders here
The warmth of your breath
On skin that is bare
Come and count my lashes
As they flutter on your cheek
Brazen butterfly kisses
Meant to make you weak
Come and trace my lips
The soft swell of them there
With the tip of your tongue
While we breathe the same air
Come and claim your forever
Here I am yours to take
Parting thighs, thrusting hips
And love we will make
