THE REAL DOCTOR

by GEORGE CAMPOS
(ONTARIO, CA. - USA)

Went to my doctor for medicine
He wrote out a prescription
To the drug store I hurriedly went
Getting well was my intent.

The druggist filled my order
I'd soon be getting better
Pills were quite expensive
But dang it I wanted to live.

Swallowed a pill or two
The way I was told to do
Then I said a little prayer
Trusting the Lord would care...

Then I thought, prayers are free
And so is God's relief and mercy
Prayer is the prescription
He freely supplies the medicine...
