The Warrior

by Jade Curtis
(New Zealand)

The Warrior
I, tormented with thoughts
Will I win
Will I not
Times are forgotten
And times are remembered
I hold on to something that might not be real
I struck with desires
The anger and fires
I am the desert
You are the sea
So on let me be
That warrior is as trustworthy as an elephant
That warrior is as smart as a fox
I believe in that warrior
That warrior has vanished but I still believe
Believing is just the beginning
Wonder is coming so lets go on
That warrior must be having fun
I bet she is being a speedy rocket around the place
She might be beaten but she is still a warrior
Who is that?
It might just be the warrior
