To A Wonderful Grandmother

by Kayla Smith

Ms. Joesphine Garvin is her name
to me it'll never be the same
now that your gone you'll remain in my heart
and nobody can tear that apart

I remember this saying you use to say to me
"Boys and books don't go unless it's the b.i.b.l.e"
and now I can clearly see
exactly what you were trying to tell me

On 12/11/12 you passed away
I cried and cried and cried that day
like I said before it'll never be the same
not seeing my grandma everyday

I know that you're in a much better place now
and I will no longer have a frown
so instead I've decided to smile
because thinking about you, that's all I can do
bye grandma and I will always love you
