Torrent

by Darren Price
(Ponte Vedra, Fl)

As we embrace, a swirling floods our minds and binds our bodies in fitful knots.

Torrid desire rises as a deluge of longing strains the whole of our existence.

Our inhibition quelled, the flow courses, consuming the essence of us.

Surrendered to our yearning, our fervid pleasure is a raging river pressing its banks.

Our ever increasing pace is a torrent churning stones as pebbles airy and light.

The tide of ultimate fulfillment flows to quenched sublime.

Our calm reflection dances upon still water, me in you, you in me.

Bodies entwined, souls pooled into one, our river meanders to an unknown sea.
