Two Lonely Snowballs

by Archie Stuart
(Denny, Scotland)

Two lonely snowballs dancing on the street
They'd move on if they could, but they have no feet.
All night long they nuzzled and caressed
Shuffling in a circle all perfect and neat
Waiting on the others to join their happy tryst
However as the day progressed in the heat
Their friends were sadly missed
The two snowballs were in a panic and a muddle
When they realised their friends were but a puddle!!
