UNSEEN PLACES

UNSEEN PLACES

The sun setting and snow falling fast, so fast
Across the barren land I am driving past
No longer much to see the snow covered land
Weeds and cactus showing through that last.

Driving alone and quietly now unaware
The long winding road ahead I stare
Once showing through miles of sand
All the desert creatures tucked in their lair.

Listening to the deafness of loneliness
Released from all worldly stressfulness
Peace from nature’s unknown hand
A feeling given no man can express.

In reflection the awe of such places
Nothing but pure open spaces
Given by nature well planned
Sins of yesterday leaving no traces.
