Wasted Moments

by Carmelita
(South Africa)

Wasted moments
I had tasted sorrow, when at first we met
Moments of glory, now only regret
If love be like a flower, how quickly it fades;
One breath, one moment gone.
Hours I waited for your loving embrace,
Yet time ignored my pleading
All wasted moments;
One breath, one glory forever erased.
