I want to say exactly that, if I could
And believe you me, I really would
But I don’t have the courage to be so bold
Even though I know you have a heart of gold

I’ve been living with this fear from the start
If I were to tell you what’s in my heart
Will we come together or grow apart
I’m not sure if I want to hear your reply
If you say no, I might as well die
