Your Love Carries Me

by Jeannie Marie Kiess
(Kingsland, Georgia)

Iridescent shades of passion engulf my senses
The soft musk of your being intoxicates my mind.

I can feel you paint my body
With your fingers, and my entire existence explodes
Into a million tiny sparks of white light.

I am falling from a precipice and I have no fear.
The music of your love encircles me
And I am floating in the brilliant colors of ecstasy.

What spell have you cast upon my heart,
That I desire no other torture but this?
My soul melds into yours
And we become one being, one entity, one spirit.
Now and forever to be possessed by love.
