You're a Goddess

by Aundreya Garcia
(Las Vegas, Nevada)

Beauty, unknown to herself
She stands a goddess in disguise,
Secretly she's searching
She holds the world from it's demise,
To gain self knowledge
Through the pain she carries on,
Yearning for acceptance,
Though unknown she lingers on,
The world seems to shake,
Like a mountain she is only so strong,
Like the wind she blows,
at the madness that tries to stay.
Feeling stronger day by day,
She looked in a mirror,
Like caution to the wind she threw it away,
Knowing inside,
"The madness won't stay."
The world stood still,
She shed her skin,
A goddess so bright
The world won't soon forget.
